Nanlite FC720C RGB LED Spotlight

The FC-720C is Nanlite's 750-watt colour spotlight: one fixture that can be a daylight key, a warm tungsten fill or a saturated background colour, without changing lights or cutting gels. It sits between compact 300 W lights and the 1,350 W FC-1200C, which makes it a common choice for ad films, music videos and studio sets that need real output through a large softbox.

What it does well

• Wide white range: 2,400K to 12,000K, with ±150 green–magenta correction to match other sources on set.
• Full colour: RGBW engine with HSI control, 460 LEE and Rosco gel presets, and 15 built-in effects including storm, TV, fire, police car and paparazzi.
• Accurate skin tones: average CRI 95 and TLCI 94.
• Output: 11,400 lux at 3 m at 5600K with the included reflector.
• Control: on-board controls and screen, the NANLINK app over Bluetooth, and DMX/RDM through locking ports for a lighting desk.
• Bowens mount with a built-in umbrella holder, so it takes the softboxes, lanterns and light domes you already use.

Where it fits

Use it as the main source behind a 120 cm softbox or a large lantern for interviews and product films, or bare with the reflector to wash a backdrop in colour. The power supply is separate from the head, which keeps the weight on top of the stand manageable. For soft light, pair it with one of our Bowens-mount softboxes, lanterns and light domes; for the rest of the range, see all Nanlite lights.
